watched a tear jerker. This month we've compiled a top 10 list of romantic picks that are sure to make your eyes water.
Everyone, even guys - as much as they won't admit it - can't help but get drawn into a compelling love story on film. Romantic movies burn a fantasy into the depths our hearts and minds revealing a story we can identify with. We imagine ourselves in the same scenario as we're witnessing on film. Some of us to have even experienced the story ourselves. They leave us with hope and faith that true love does exist and one day we will be able to experience it in every way we imagine it.
It was a difficult task but we were able to compile (in our opinion) the top 10 romantic movies of all time. So relax, sit back, and remember these top 10 movies the next time your in the mood for a romantically inspired evening.
10. AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER (1957) Kerry Grant, Deborah Kerr
Handsome playboy Nicky Ferrante and beautiful night club singer Terry McKay have a romance while on a cruise from Europe to New York. Despite being engaged to other people, both agree to reunite at the top of the Empire State Building in six months. However, an unfortunate accident keeps Terry from the reunion, and Nicky fears that she has married or does not love him anymore.

Soon she and William are caught in a forbidden romance that provides rich inspiration for his play.
6. GHOST (1990) Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore
Sam and Molly are a very happy couple and deeply in love. Walking back to their new apartment after a night out at the theater, they encounter a thief in a dark alley, and Sam is murdered. He finds himself trapped as a ghost and realizes that his death was no accident. He must warn Molly about the danger that she is in. But as a ghost he can not be seen or heard by the living, and so he tries to communicate with Molly through Oda Mae Brown, a psychic who didn't even realize that her powers were real.
5. PRETTY WOMAN (1990) Richard Gere, Julia Roberts
Edward is a rich, ruthless businessman who specializes in taking over companies and then selling them off piece by piece. He travels to Los Angeles for a business trip and decides to hire Vivian, a prostitute. They take a liking to each other and he offers her money if she'll stay with him for an entire week. He is on his way to become a better person, whereas Vivian has got a new chance to start over again.
4. THE NOTEBOOK (2004) Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams
The movie focuses on an old man reading a story to an old woman in a nursing home. The story he reads follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun, who meet one evening at a carnival. But they are separated by Allie's parents who disapprove of Noah's unwealthy family, and move Allie away. After waiting for Noah to write her for several years, Allie meets and gets engaged to a handsome young soldier named Lon. Allie, then, with her love for Noah still alive, stops by Noah's 200-year-old home that he restored for her, "to see if he's okay". It is evident that they still have feelings for each other, and Allie has to choose between her fiancé and her first love.
3. AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN (1982) Richard Gere, Deborah Winger
Zack Mayo is a young man who has signed up for Navy Flight School. He is a Navy brat who has a bad attitude problem. Sgt. Foley is there to train and evaluate him and will clearly find Zack wanting. Zack meets Paula, a girl who has little beyond family and must decide what it is he wants to do with his life.
2. SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE (1993) Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan
After his wife died, Sam Baldwin did not think about other women. His 8-year old son Jonah thinks that his father needs a woman in order to get his life back in order and calls in on a nation-wide radio-show. The voice and story of Sam is heard by hundreds of women, including Annie Reed, who is about to marry her fiancé Walter soon. She can't find a rest until she really knows for sure that Sam Baldwin is not the one person for her. Thus, Annie travels to Seattle, where Sam and Jonah live, and there decides that Sam is not the one. The letter she never sent was posted by a friend of Annie, and therefore Jonah, who feels that she's the one for his dad, already booked a flight to New York in order to meet her on the roof of the Empire State building, just like in "An Affair to Remember". Of course, his father follows him.
